Since 1318, the fortified monastery ‘Bonpas Charterhouse’ has watched over the safe crossing point along the route that once linked Rome with Avignon.
Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre
Co-fermentation of the different grape varieties. Physical extractions using devatting and pumping over techniques at the beginning of fermentation give way to the traditional Rhône Valley method, which consists of submerging the pomace cap at the end of fermentation. This final extraction, conducted at 28°C, is comparable to an infusion. While respecting and preserving the aromas and flavours of jammy red fruit, it allows the wine to acquire smooth velvety tannins and guarantees good length on the palate.
Bright garnet red
Aromas of red berries and kirsh underlined by floral notes.
Round and smooth, with complex flavours of red and black fruits such as acerola cherry, blackcurrant, and plum. Subtle notes of sweet spices add depth and elegance. The silky, well-integrated tannins support a long and harmonious finish.
Serve between 13-15°C/56-59°F. Perfect with grilled or stewed meat, lamb kebabs, snacked red tuna steak, vegetable lasagna or with exotic cuisine such as lamb curry.
The Côtes-du-Rhône Villages appellation spreads over 4,000 ha (9,900 acres) and 95 villages in the Vaucluse, Drôme, Gard and Ardèche. The Côtes-du-Rhône Villages differentiates itself from a Côtes-du-Rhône by stricter production standards, a more complex structure and a more seductive bouquet.
The grapes are sourced from both the right and left banks of the Rhône River, from Côtes-du-Rhône vineyards Communal Villages for their specific soil characteristics and exposure which produce great Grenache Noir.
