The Bonpas Charterhouse told in images

THE BONPAS CHARTERHOUSE HAS BEEN SHAPED BY SEVERAL CENTURIES OF HISTORY

Overlooking the winding course of the Durance, the Bonpas Charterhouse has been keeping watch over the famous river for more than 700 years from the top of its ramparts. It has belonged successively to the Bridgebuilding Brotherhood, then to the Kniths of Saint John of Jerusalem and finally from 1318, to the Carthusians by decision of  Pope John XXII.
